Dayton Masonic Center

The Dayton Masonic Center

An iconic Dayton landmark, The Dayton Masonic Center offers elegance and grandeur from a bygone era, but with all the modern conveniences of today. Recently remodeled in 2018, The Masonic has added more elevators, updated ladies lounge, new bars, and more.

Around every corner, The Masonic surprises guests with unique rooms filled with hidden treasures like the Billiards Room, Library, or 1930’s Lounge. However, the two story tall Ballroom is what steals the show. Guests can enjoy cocktail hour on the Balcony overlooking the Ballroom, which is the perfect view for an impressive grande entrance or first dance.

The Masonic can accommodate seated dinners for up to 500 guests and cocktail receptions up to 1,000 guests.

Unique Features

A BIG change for events is that clients may bring in their own alcohol to be served by Elite Catering. This is an estimated savings of $4000 - $6000 for events over 200 guests.

The Masonic also includes tables, chairs, some AV equipment, and ample free parking with all rentals.

For an additional fee, there are multiple areas within the venue for wedding ceremonies and even an outdoor space for a cocktail hour overlooking the Dayton skyline and the Great Miami River.

Tour Dayton Masonic’s many wedding and event spaces

Encompassing over 5,000,000 cubic feet of space, Dayton Masonic Center is like having several venues all rolled into one! Aside from multiple event spaces within Dayton Masonic Center, the venue also includes outdoor space on the front patio overlooking the Dayton skyline and Great Miami River. It’s a popular spot for wedding photos, cocktail hour and outdoor wedding ceremonies.

Main Ballroom

The two-story tall Ballroom features a wrap around balcony offering unobstructed views of all the fun. The Ballroom Balcony is great for cocktail hour, VIP lounge space, or additional seating.

Our wedding couples often like to do their first dance with all their guests watching from the balcony before entering into the reception.

The Ballroom can host seated dinner events for 500 or cocktail events for 1,000 guests. It also has excellent WiFi and works great for meetings and presentations as well. Tables, banquet chairs, ceiling swag, and mirror ball are included with your rental.

The Lounge

Featuring a fireplace and hand carved wood beams, you’ll feel like you stepped back into the 1930’s.

This is close to the main Ballroom so it’s an easy location to host your cocktail hour, wedding ceremony, or VIP reception.

The Lounge is also a popular location for smaller dinner parties because of the rich decor and architecture making it a cozy and unique space.

THe Grand Entrance

This beautiful space with marble walls, vaulted ceilings, and hand-painted ceiling murals, is adjacent to the Front Patio giving you the opportunity to connect both indoor and outdoor spaces.

It’s a great space for VIP receptions, smaller dinner parties, wedding ceremonies or used in conjunction with the patio for a larger cocktail hour.

Guests planning smaller events often combine use of The Grand Entrance with The Lounge since they are so close to each other. Often guests will host a cocktail hour in one room and then dinner in the other.

The Templar Room

With its vaulted ceilings, ornate woodwork, and hand-painted ceilings, The Templar Room makes for a beautiful spot for wedding photographs and wedding ceremonies.

The stage features several different curtains and backdrops to choose from. Guests can also seat in a traditional aisle conjuration as well as in the balcony and side benches.

Many people have never been in this room in Dayton Masonic Center and it always delights and surprises guests to be able to see another unique space within the building.

The Compass Room

Another great space within Dayton Masonic Center is The Compass Room. This event space is perfect for wedding ceremonies and has lighter decor and architecture compared to The Templar Room.

The Compass Room has tall hand-painted ceilings, granite columns, and raised stage giving your guests a full view of the wedding ceremony.

The Billiards Room

One of our favorite hidden gems in Dayton Masonic Center is The Billiards Room. Reminiscent of an old English pub, The Billiards Room features four billiards tables, flatscreen TVs, custom built large bar, and furniture worthy of any pub.

It’s a charming and fun space perfect for rehearsal dinners, retirement parties, holiday parties and smaller dinner parties.

Guests love the decor and being in a relaxed event space that’s perfect for networking and making memories.

Front Veranda

Dayton Masonic Center is one of the few downtown Dayton venues with an outdoor event space. In fact, this view is what are known for!

The Patio is a popular spot for wedding photos, cocktail hour, and wedding ceremonies. Your guests can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine with panoramic views of the Great Miami River and Dayton skyline.

It’s also the perfect spot to watch fireworks if you can time your event with Fourth of July or other Dayton holidays.
